Catering to Love
I can't imagine Thanksgiving without lifting up the families who've opened their homes to our locally neglected, abused and orphaned children. We had the honor of serving 55 foster/kin/adoptive families this year! We were able to get all but 6 adopted by volunteers, which crushed the 40ish unadopted from last year! Our volunteers got invited to help Quinceaneras, adoption parties, a puppy was adopted by an expecting mom(volunteer) and Monica brought a chocolate turkey to life (see pictures). You'll see we ate what we cooked and it was apparent that Jeremy was onboard (again, see pictures). Happy Thanksgiving to our families, volunteers and donors - it was an honor celebrating the Lord's love and generosity with yall! ... See MoreSee Less

Thank you to our friends at Hope Local for inviting us to join the Brave event back on 14NOV hosted at HighRidge Church Graham. I love to see churches who choose to invite their congregations to learn about serving, loving and healing our locally abused, neglected and orphaned children. Got some good black and white biblical obedience in action right there! My prayer extends to the rest of our church families that they too will open their hearts and homes to these kids. It breaks my heart knowing these kids are sleeping in CPS offices and like facilities waiting for an available family with loving hearts to show them the Word in action. ... See MoreSee Less

Thank you to Fort Worth Police Department's 5-Stones Task Force for again inviting us out to serve and uplift Tarrant County's #1 counter-human trafficking dream team yesterday! It can be hard to hear the updates about what the bad guys are up to, but man it's quickly flipped when you hear what the good guys are doing! As part of her annual tradition, Nandini whipped up a special desert for the awards ceremony, mmmm lemony! Jordan and our family at Mama's Pizza for showing their pizza-y support! Merry Christmas and I hope to see yall in January! ... See MoreSee Less

Catering to Love
The survivors we get to walk alongside experience holidays in a variety of ways. Some survivors are able to spend it with their families, restoring relationships and lost time, others feel the weight of family members or children they cannot be with on that day, and others might experience holidays as reminders of a traumatic past. Still others want to celebrate but cannot afford the ingredients for the mealKnowing the complexities above, CJ with Catering to Love (pictured here with some of our team) stepped up to help. They provided delicious Thanksgiving meals for four for every survivor in our program who wanted one. It is an incredible act of service and generosity, and yet another example of how our partners are necessary members of each survivor's team! #Appreciationpost #Anti-trafficking #Thanksgiving #givingtuesday ... We need our community, not because of financial reasons, but because helping hands from our friends allow us to give the children a childhood that they don’t have or would otherwise never experience.
